MR TRUSHAR PATEL IS A WELL RESPECTED, HIGHLY TRAINED, AND EXPERIENCED SURGEON IN COMLEX CATARACT AND CORNEA SURGERY. I HAVE JUST HAD CATARACT SURGERY ON BOTH EYES OVER AN EIGHT WEEK PERIOD AND WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED WITH HIS PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND EXPERTISE. HE WAS EXTREMELY EASY TO TALK TO AND FULLY EXPLAINED ALL QUESTIONS ASKED. FROM MY INITIAL CONSULTATION TO THE FINAL CONSULTATION WAS IMPECCABLE. THE ACTUAL PROCEDURE ITSELF WAS QUICK AND PAINLESS WITH MR PATEL EXPLAINING EACH STAGE OF THE OPERATION . HE ALSO HAS A 'BACKUP TEAM' (I.E. NURSES AND THEATRE STAFF} WHO ARE A CREDIT TO HIM. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND MR PATEL TO ANYONE REQUIRING TREATMENT IN THIS FIELD. MY GRATEFUL THANKS TO MR PATEL.

I chose Mr Patel from the Bupa consultant finder when I was diagnosed as requiring potential cataract surgery. His medical details, qualifications and experience initially impressed me and informed my choice of consultant. From my initial consultation to my final follow up consultation I was fully confident in every step of the process. Mr Patel put me totally at ease and fully explained the options open to me in the choice of lens and it’s benefits. The surgery itself was very quick and painless and the improvement in my vision was immediate. During the surgery Mr Patel explained at each stage what he was doing and how much longer it would take. I had surgery on both eyes with a four week gap in between, influenced time wise by Covid restrictions. I would recommend Mr Patel to anyone requiring medical intervention in his particular field of expertise. He has a calming manner and is totally approachable! Finally, I must add the improvement in my vision is amazing and the benefits of not having to wear glasses goes without saying. If you have the option to be a patient of Mr Patel, don’t hesitate to make that choice.

As I only have useful sight in one eye I was very nervous about having a cataract operation, and the problem with corona virus made me even more wary. From the very beginning Mr Patel filled me with confidence and assured me that he would do his best to keep me safe and protect the vision in my eye. I was under no pressure to have the procedure But given all the information and allowed to make up my own mind. I was treated with care on the day and at the follow up appointment and my only regret is that I didn’t have the operation sooner! I can see better now than I ever remember seeing!

Mr Trushar Patel is a life changing doctor he done eye surgery on me 2 year ago and has changed my life i couldnt recommended him any more hes friendly, approachable at anytime he really has changed my life i was going blond in 1 eye and he gave me a cornea graft and has totally changed my vision really is life changing for me, also would like to mention all the staff and the girls in the eye department and a special mention to micaela who I've worked close with with mr Patel she's has been just as good i wish nothing but the best for all of them. I’ve just had cataract surgery with multifocal lens replacement in both eyes performed by Mr. Trushar Patel. This wasn’t an easy decision for me as I’d had to cancel previous cataract treatment on the NHS due to cancer treatment beginning. It was clear to me on first meeting Mr. Patel that this delay had proven fortuitous because his care, compassion and skill as a surgeon is outstanding and I felt very clinically safe under his care. Every aspect of the procedure was handled sensitively and he clearly has amazing attention to detail. He also explains the procedure carefully and I felt engaged in the process at all times. The theatre and ward staff at the Nuffield were also excellent. I’d recommend and commend Mr. Patel highly and without reservation. Both my long and short distance has been fully restored and this has proven transformative and freed me from the glasses I’ve needed for nearly 50 yrs! If I had any eye issues in the future I’d consult Mr. Patel without hesitation. He’s a credit to his profession.
